I am a qualified financial planner operating through Financial Information and Advice Tasmania and licensed as an Authorised Representative of Lifespan Financial Planning Pty Ltd. and I provide Tax and Accountancy services to my clients through Parker Accounting.
I am focused on providing opportunities to more Australians to understand their financial options and work with them to improve their financial positions. I will provide clients (even those with modest investment balances) affordable access to information and advice and guidance through to retirement. With regards to academic requirements I have passed the FASEA Exam and I have completed the additional training required under the updated industry standards.
I also provide Accountancy and Taxation services through a small local firm (Parker Accounting) servicing the needs of individuals and small business taxation clients. I have worked in public practice (for tax and accountancy) since 1990. Parker Accounting staff have also been involved in start up companies and continue their interest in this area.
Previously I worked in a mixed Accounting, Tax and Legal firm with significant focus on estates and property conveyancing.
My broad experiences include a strong farming background and recent involvement in managing the development of a 33 lot property subdivision on behalf of my family. Currently Treasurer of the Newstead Athletics club. Previously served as a volunteer on the Committee for Launceston Cricket Club (as Treasurer), Hagley Farm School Parents & Friends (Vice-President) and A Local Child Care Centre (Treasurer).
